The vestibular system is a part of your inner ear and it is most important with keeping your balance. Several conditions such as benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV), persistent postural-perceptual dizziness (PPPD or 3PD), labyrinthitis, and vestibular neuritis and can affect the inner ear. The good news is, these conditions are quite treatable and usually have good results.

One of our therapists has undergone a significant amount of training in order to help better serve the community regarding vestibular disorders, including an intensive training course at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. He consults with The Dizzy Clinic at The Ottawa Hospital, and also has a personal connection to dizziness and vertigo that make him passionate about offering effective therapies to his clients.

Clients who come to our clinic for vestibular physiotherapy will be asked questions about their condition so the therapist can gain knowledge into their specific case. A series of tests will follow that can help determine what treatment will be most beneficial for that individual.

If you or anyone you know suffers from dizziness, unsteadiness or vertigo, please do not wait and contact us today.
