Typically performed with little or no lotion, myofascial release (MFR) is a safe and effective technique that involves applying sustained pressure to specific areas of restriction, allowing connective tissue to slowly release.


This type of massage targets the body's fascia, a tissue layer that envelops and protects all muscles and organs. Often used in conjunction with other types of massage techniques, MFR helps improve local circulation, break down superficial scar tissue and increase range of motion creating lasting postural changes.
