Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a referral for physiotherapy?
No, you do not need a referral in order to be treated at our clinic. However, some insurance companies and/or plans do require a referral to be submitted when claiming the cost of a physiotherapy or massage therapy treatment.
Will my physiotherapy treatment be covered by insurance?
Individual insurance companies (e.g. Sun Life, Manulife, Great West Life, etc.) and/or plans have their own unique rules that allow for full, partial or no coverage for physiotherapy or massage therapy. You might also have the option of claiming your treatments under a spouse or legal guardian's insurance plan. Regardless, we recommend calling the appropriate insurance company prior to receiving treatment in order to determine if the costs will or will not be covered.
Do you accept patients that have been in a motor vehicle accident (MVA)?
Yes, our clinic does accept patients who have been involved in a motor vehicle accident (MVA). We have physiotherapists, a massage therapist and administrative staff that are experienced in handling both treatment and the paperwork involved in these cases.
