A concussion is a mild traumatic brain injury, often caused by a bump or jolt to the head. Concussions can affect many of the systems that are regulated by your brain – symptoms can include dizziness, nausea, fogginess, headache, difficulty concentrating, blurred vision, fatigue, impaired mood, and many more. While the majority of concussion symptoms resolve in about two weeks, in some cases they may last longer – when a concussion persists longer than usual, it is referred to as Post-Concussion Syndrome.

The therapists in our clinic have postgraduate training in both early concussion management and Post-Concussion Syndrome treatment. As concussions can affect many aspects of our lives, many people find it challenging to return to school, work, and/or sport while managing their symptoms.

If you are struggling with a concussion, our therapists will perform an in-depth assessment focusing on your specific symptoms to create a customized treatment plan. With a combination of in-clinic treatment and home exercises (such as the vision therapy exercise pictured below), we can help you prevent longer term difficulties and facilitate a safe return to all of your daily life activities.
